What Riffle stores, in plain words.
Riffle reads public conversations and tells you which ones matter. It is a monitoring tool, so the honest question is what it keeps. Here is the whole answer.
What we hold about you
- Your email address, to send alerts and to know whose account is whose.
- Your watch list: the product description, keywords, competitors and personas you ask us to track.
- Your feedback on flagged posts (good or noise), which tunes your own scoring and nobody else's.
- If you ask us to email you a report, we keep the address you typed, the time, your IP address, your browser line, and the sentence you agreed to. That is the proof you asked. One email follows and then nothing, and every message we send has a link that stops us for good.
- Payment is handled by Pocketsflow. We never see or store your card details.
What we collect from the web
Riffle reads publicly posted content from open platforms (Hacker News, Stack Exchange, GitHub issues, Discourse forums, Lobsters, Dev.to, Mastodon and Bluesky) through their public interfaces. We keep the post's link, title, text, author handle, timestamp and reply count, plus the score and reason we assigned it.
We do not use scraped or purchased data, and we do not touch platforms whose terms forbid it. If a platform closes its doors, we drop that source rather than work around it.
Who else sees it
Post text is sent to Google's Gemini API for scoring, and alert emails go out through Resend. Those two, plus Pocketsflow for payment, are the only third parties involved. We do not sell data, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site. You can check the page source.
Deleting it
Email support@rifflehq.in and we delete your account, watch list, feedback and stored posts. No retention period, no exit interview. Cancelling your subscription stops collection immediately.
